I'm finally here. I've got the book cover exactly how I want it, I've got all my edits in and ready to be corrected. By tonight I'll be a published indie-author and I couldn't be more thrilled and utterly proud that I did it :) I have a tendency to pick up something with so much enthusiasm only to lose steam half way through so this is such a big deal for me! Word is already spreading about how great my book is thanks to my amazing beta reader Maira, friends and of course my ever supportive mom! Where would any author, especially an indie-author, be without amazing support? With that being said I'd like to take a moment to thank those that have tirelessly supported me.
Sam, my husband, you inspire me daily. You push me to be great and when I refuse to put a book down to write my own you push me off the couch and in front of the computer! :) I love you with all of my heart!
Mom, your excitement and confidence, even before you read a single word of my book has filled me with such confidence I can't ever thank you enough for that. A parent's support no matter how old we get is so very important and you never fail to give it, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Uncle Steve, you inspired me before I ever thought of writing
this story. Your own writing is amazing so having your support and
excitement means the world to me!
Eileithyiae, you are the best friend a girl could ask for. You always see the brighter side of everything and I definitely needed that sunny disposition on more than one occasion during this writing process. I love your reactions to every snippet that you get to read. It's because of your enthusiasm that I feel confident that you will not be the only person to react this way to Unexpectedly and other stories I've started. Thank you for being such a great friend and supporting me the whole way through.
Suzanne, Your intelligence and candor have helped me to not lose focus when creating this story. If I overly romanticized a character or situation you didn't hold back from telling me. Thank you for that!
Maira, thank you for taking on the task of being my only beta reader! When you told me that you weren't much of a reader I knew you would be the only test I needed. I thought if I could win over a non-reader then my hard work would have been worth it. Thank you for your honest feedback and for spreading the word!

Gio (5th Street, #2) by Elizabeth Reyes Book Review
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
When tragedy strikes in the ring, Giovanni Bravo falls into a deep depression, walking away from his dream of boxing to train instead. He agrees to a two month get-away, helping train Felix Sanchez, his high school best friend and now welterweight champ of the world. Once at Felix’s lavish boxing complex, he’s reunited with Bianca Rubio, someone he remembers only as the girl with the innocent doe eyes back in high school. Her refreshing, cheerful demeanor not only takes Gio’s mind off his troubled conscience, he finds himself falling for her fast and hard. The problem—Bianca is Felix’s girlfriend.
Having a sexy, famous boyfriend has its perks, but they come with a price. Bianca not only has to deal with the ongoing tabloid rumors about her boyfriend hooking with other women, but also his constant absence when he is on the road. So now that Felix will be in town for two whole months to train for his next big bout, Bianca is thrilled. He’s even asked her to move into his cabin while he's there. But when he leaves for days at a time to promote his fight, Bianca spends time getting to know Felix’s gorgeous new trainer and good friend, Gio. Increasingly drawn to his sweet smile and smoldering green eyes, she finds herself saying and doing things she normally wouldn’t.
As it becomes more and more difficult for each to resist the other, Gio crosses the line between them. He hopes that one kiss will alleviate the overwhelming temptation and clear both their systems, but it does just the opposite. Their temptation suddenly becomes an obsession--an obsession that quickly forces Gio to realize this is more than just lust. He's fallen hard and to his delight so has she. Now he's forced to make the hardest decision of his life. Risk losing his long time friend or walk away from the only girl he's ever loved.
My Review:
I was immediately drawn into the story from the fist paragraph and couldn't put it down until 1:30 this morning when I finally finished it! I was not disappointed once. Reyes does an amazing job of creating a world filled with characters so believable I found myself laughing and crying with them. This is a must read for anyone who loves a good romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat!

The Drifting by L. Filloon Book Review
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
“Welcome to Velesi, Princess.”
It is Lily’s first day in the Velesi realm but not as the princess she was made to believe, but as a captive to a strange Lithi elf name Ziri – Tharin and Tolan’s mysterious brother. Who is he and why has he taken her? Or is he only a pawn in someone’s deadly game of chess?
Tharin and Lily discover a prophecy involving the Unnamed Sidhe and a way back to Eirrell, the birthplace of the Thirteen Clans. However, before they can get to the doorway to Eirrell, Lily must first make it to the Day of the Seating to take her rightful place on the throne of the Willow Clan.
Tharin must keep Lily safe until the Day of the Seating even if it means keeping the beautiful Sidhe warrior Kalis close to him. Will he be able to protect his naïve, but stubborn bride-to-be not just from Harlu but from his warrior mistress? He once again turns to his brother and cousin, to only find that Tolan has his own problems with his feisty Julia.
Thank goodness for the future king of Velesi that he has Phoris, Alorn and Mellis to cover his royal back.
Welcome to Velesi, a realm existing alongside our own with their own rules, their own players and their own way of life.
My Review:
I absolutely loved this book! I could hardly put it down and I can hardly wait for the next book! The relationship between Lily and Tharin is so addicting. I was constantly on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen between Lily and Tharin. Would they ever tell each other how they really feel? Will they stop butting heads long enough to love each other?
I fell more in love with all the characters from the first book especially Mellis and Ziri. They both brought much needed lightheartedness and humor to the story.
The imagery is spellbinding. I was easily transported to Velesi and the character development was done to perfection, I felt everything they felt. This is a definite must read :)

Autumn Storm by Lizzy Ford Book Review
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can't express how much I love Lizzy Ford's books! She creates worlds any reader can get so wrapped up in that waiting for her next book feels like torture :) Of all the series that she has created this is by far my favorite! The story picks up with Summer, now Autumn, returning to the school with no memory of who she used to be or even who she is since she has amnesia. Old enemies and obstacles are back and some with a vengeance. The twins are growing in their new powers, one more than the other, and both are after Autumn/Summer. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time hoping Summer/Autumn would pass her trial and save Decker from the quickly consuming Darkness and not fall in love with Beck again, but I won't tell if she does or doesn't do any of these things, you'll just have to read to find out ;)

Sneak Peek #2
My eyes went wide and my throat closed up embarrassed
by my thoughts; I couldn’t believe I was thinking that. “Are you alright?” he
asked reaching out to me in concern. I must have looked like I was choking or
freaking out. Spider or gum? Spider or gum? I thought quickly trying to come up with a
believable excuse when I blurted out, “I swallowed a spider!” What?
I swallowed a spider? What the hell is wrong with me?! I
thought giving myself a mental forehead slap. His eyebrows shot up, “You swallowed what?”
“Um, I meant I swallowed my gum when I thought I saw a spider by your desk. Yep, mhm,” I said
with a nervous chuckle fidgeting with my hair, something I always did when I
was nervous. Now he probably thinks I’m a weirdo he’s stuck
with showing him around the office.
Beta Reading Time...
I just printed my first copy of Unexpectedly and tomorrow it will be in the hands of my first beta :) She's warned me that her attention span is not the best so if a book isn't interesting there's no way she'll be able to finish it so this is a major test for me! I've given her and my other betas a week to read and give me their honest feedback. Then I'll give myself a week to make any necessary changes, which hopefully won't be too many (crossing fingers!). So, just in time for Christmas my book will be available for your reading pleasure or as a great gift for the bookworm in your life ;)

Sneak Peek #1
Sneak peek #1...
Suddenly his
laughter stopped and I was pressed up against my car, the world around me
spinning from being moved too quickly. I held onto his shoulders and closed my
eyes while I focused on not throwing up all over him.
“What the hell
Bryce?” I groaned barely above a whisper anything louder and I was sure I would
vomit.
“Sorry,” he
whispered placing his hands firmly on my hips to steady me. I swallowed hard
when he pressed up against my chest to put my purse down on the hood of the car.
“Are you okay?” he asked searching my eyes.
He asked if I was okay, but it felt more like he was
asking if what we were doing was okay. Any thoughts or feeling of nausea was
immediately forgotten. Pinned by the electrifying heat pulsating between our
bodies I bobbed my head a fraction. I could feel the beats of my heart start to
slowly drum through my veins and pick up in rhythm as I watched his eyes make
their way down to my lips. Without thinking I licked them in preparation for a
kiss. My breath caught when he squeezed down on my hips pushing me up against
the car just a little more. His eyes traveled back up to mine asking for
permission and again I bobbed my head a fraction unable to move or say anything
more. The feel of his muscles move beneath my hands as he dipped down planting
his lips tenderly over mine left me hypnotized.
